Frequently Asked Questions: 

1. How do I Book?​

the Contact tab above will start your inquiry process. once I receive it, we will work together on next steps to decide time, location, and other important details.

2. Do you require a deposit?​

yes! A deposit is due at the time of booking and serves as a retainer to hold your session date and time and is non-refundable . it will be applied to your final session invoice due on the date and time of your session. â€‹


4. Can I reschedule my session?
Rescheduling is permitted within a Session specific time frame and is subject to availability. 

(excludes Weddings).

Portrait Sessions - no less than 30 days out 

​

Event sessions - within 7 days to 48 hours prior to your event and only in the instance of inclement weather concerns arranged within this window.

(all terms transfer to your new date and time, must be redeemed within 6-months, and can be exercised 1 time).

3. What happens if it rains? â€‹

Portrait Sessions proceed unless conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. If needed, I will make the final call and offer a reschedule at (24) Twenty-Four hours prior to your session if poor weather is prospected. If we decide to proceed despite concerns and it begins to rain- we will cover as much as possible and all fees remain owed. 

There are some great indoor locations I Frequent in the Chicago-suburbs that will be offered alternatively before we make this final call.

5. What happens if I cancel?
All retainers are non-refundable. Depending on timing, additional fees may apply as outlined in your contract.​

6. What if I have an Emergency Situation?​

Circumstantial Emergency cancellations can be made 1 time without penalty.​

 

6. When will I get my photos?
Turnaround time is typically 2 weeks or less for portraits and events, 30 days or less for weddings. 
you will receive access to a password protected (shareable) online gallery.

digital flash drives can be mailed on request and are included for weddings and events at no additional cost.

7. How many photos are delivered for Weddings and Events?

I do not promise a specified number of images for events and weddings for a variety of reasons,

but on average and in my experience- you may receive anywhere from 75-100 images per hour of coverage.​

8. Can I have all of the photos you took, even the "bad" ones?

Final images are carefully selected and curated by me to reflect only the best of your session. Rest assured that if it's a great photo- I will not hold it hostage from you! :)

9. I am a business owner and I'd like to monetize off of photos in the future, is my contract also a Commercial usage license? 

Commercial usage and monetization rights are not included in your agreement.

If you plan to print books or other materials to sell in the future with your images,

a commercial usage license can be added on at ANY time to your Business Branding or Event Sessions at:​

Events: $1000/gallery or $20/image

Business Branding: $500/gallery or $20/image â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

10. What should I wear?
It's great in my experience to have outfits that coordinate within the same color palette... You may consider having one central "eye catching" piece that everyone else's outfits coordinate around. i personally love this! mom is always a great candidate for centerfold- but you decide! 

I always recommend shoes that are both aesthetically pleasing but also capable of tracking through grass and gravel, as we work in many natural environments.
